Audio bitrate too low

The amount of information contained in one second of audio is referred to as its bitrate. In general, the higher a files audio bitrate the more accurately sound is reproduced. Audio compression has made it possible to have a good sounding file using small amounts of data. However, a bitrate that is too low will cause audio, especially voices, to sound unnatural.

Examples and Possible Solutions

In order to ensure the quality of spots delivered via Fig we require a minimum audio bitrate for all files. Files that have a lower audio bitrate than required will need to be re-encoded with a higher bitrate. We have a variety of tutorials that can help assist you with this. Our audio specifications, including acceptable bitrates, are listed below.

Audio bitrate too low: 94 Kbps

Possible Solution:

The audio bitrate of this spot is quite low and depending on its content may sound unnatural.

Solution: re-encode this spot with a higher bitrate to match the file format specifications.
